To date we have released over 114 pelicans that
arrived at our center starving and weak

It's been another busy week at WWCC! All of the volunteers are working hard, and working overtime to keep up with the influx of sick and starving pelicans and other species coming into care. 

For the staff and volunteers at WWCC it has been a very busy new year! Since January 1 we have treated more pelicans than we treated in all of 2009! At our peak we were housing over 50 starving and weak Brown Pelicans which consumed over 300 pounds of food each day (at almost $1 per pound, that is a large fish bill!).

We still have some hungry pelicans to feed and baby season is fast approaching. To help feed these remaining pelicans and prepare to support the hundreds of baby ducks, opossums, raccoons, and more that are soon to arrive at our center click on the PayPal badge on this page or mail your donation to:

WWCC volunteers in conjunction with the
International Bird Rescue Research Center

(IBRRC) helped rescue and save
5 birds from the devastating oil spill.
